Eastern Star is a prestigious 18 hole Golf Course in Rayong Province close to the popular town of Ban Chang. There are individual housing developments around the outside of the golf course and individual houses and land plots beside the fairways and some lakes. It is now a popular home location with many houses now being built and renovated.

The Eastern Star Golf Club in Bang Chang, Thailand, opened in 1992. Robert Trent Jones Jr. designed the course, which is one of only five in Thailand that he designed. The course is located on a former coconut plantation, surrounded by thousands of coconut palms and mango trees. The course was originally intended to be part of a residential estate. It features a links-style course with 18 fairways, 11 lakes, 65 bunkers, and many doglegs. The signature hole is the par-3 thirteenth, which requires an accurate tee shot to avoid a deep bunker or lake. The course has a driving range, practice areas, and a clubhouse with a restaurant, 3 hotels and numerous small housing developments
